If you want to live in the countryside, have a large garden and adapt a house to your needs, you have found the right place. The railway, airport, Säter, Hedemora, Borlänge and Falun are within easy commuting distance.

Our property in Arkhyttan, outside Stora Skedvi in southern Dalarna, is for sale. It is a property full of possibilities. The large house has a new geothermal heat pump, broadband fiber and  a central vacuum cleaner. The upper floor, with kitchenette and toilet, can function as a separate apartment.
There are two additional houses on the plot, a recreation space with a large room and a fireplace plus a guest house with an attic. The guest house is easily accessible and has previously been an office and art gallery. Nowadays we use it for a flea market.
Hunting and crayfish fishing rights are also included with the property. If desired, the domain name www.arkhyttan.se and the flea market are also included.

The property is sold via Svensk fastighetsförmedling(länk), where you can view the property facts and register your interest.

After 20 years in our paradise, it is time for us to move to Skåne where our children and grandchildren live. Over the years, our house has changed according to our needs, when the children moved away from home. We have had a guest house, gallery space, office, art exhibition and chickens in the garden. We have taken hunting qualifications and participated in moose hunts and in the village ”crisis preparedness group” and community farming. Next door to the grounds there is a field used for hockey in the winter and for horse training in the summer. The village has its own swimming area and an active  Community local.

The proximity to the forest has given us wonderful nature experiences and in the summer the garden is surrounded by greenery and forms its own little paradise with apple, pear and plum trees, currants, blackberries and lots of raspberries. On a bench in the garden we have spent many warm evenings enjoying the view over the fields and the valley. There is also a glazed veranda at the back of the large house where we have admired sunsets during the summer months.
